The Damaishu Port International Fresh Cold Chain Center is equipped with cold storage facilities, live seafood holding tanks, customs inspection technical housing, and supporting municipal infrastructure. It specializes in handling imported agricultural and aquatic products such as fruits, chilled aquatic goods, and edible aquatic animals. The center provides temperature-controlled warehousing, cargo consolidation and distribution, value-added processing, and urban cold chain delivery services.

With a total cold storage capacity of 53,154 cubic meters divided into refrigerated and frozen sections, the facility meets diverse temperature requirements for imported cold chain products, ranking among the province’s leading cold storage infrastructures.

Constructed to international standards, the center enhances regional cold chain logistics capabilities and streamlines the import distribution efficiency for agricultural products. It not only facilitates regular import operations for New Zealand Zespri kiwifruit and Alaskan king crab but also creates favorable conditions to expand import business with Thailand and Vietnam.

Since the launch of RCEP shipping routes—handling everything from New Zealand kiwifruit and Chilean cherries to king crab and New Zealand dairy products—Damaishu Port has achieved notable milestones in imported agricultural and aquatic products over the past three years.

"The commissioning of this center marks a significant advancement in Yuhuan’s development as a specialized hub for agricultural and aquatic product logistics," stated Chen Bin, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor of Yuhuan. "It successfully transforms Damaishu Port from a single-function container terminal into a multi-purpose port."

He emphasized Yuhuan’s continued commitment to optimizing the business environment and resolving enterprise challenges. The city also urges companies to collaborate in expanding import operations, jointly advancing Yuhuan’s vision to build a "10-billion-yuan fresh logistics industry cluster."
